Christmas – one of the most popular periods of the year when you spend the time with your family, resting, relaxing, eating and drinking something good. If we didn´t get pictures and information from home, here on the island (where Islamic religion is known) we don´t know that Christmas is celebrated. The sun is burning, the outside temperature is about 30 degrees, the sea is near, no decoration anywhere. In our country, you decorate trees and lit up lights, prepare sweets, listening to carols, burn candles etc.
We had the opportunity to experience a different Christmas this year, but in the end, we agreed that heat and Christmas is not a good idea. In short, the atmosphere (with everything that belongs to it) was very much lacking. So if we decide to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve next time abroad, we will definitely choose a country where there is a lot of snow because we miss the snow in the Polabi during December and especially on Christmas Eve.
